You’ve been there for me countless times when all I wanted was to cease existing. Nothing was worth going on for. You promised to stand by me no matter what happened. And you have, for 26 years now. You promised me that if I could just make it one more minute at a time, that things would get better, and eventually the darkness wouldn’t be all I could see. And that even if I couldn’t hold on, I would never be alone. My god, you were right, though. Sometimes it still gets dark, but you’ve kept the promise of light alive in me. ❤️
